Innovating for Tomorrow: Talent and Tech to Solve Future Problems

The demand for advanced technological solutions continues to grow, and C5MI’s unwavering commitment to talent development is vital to staying ahead. Talent development in critical technologies has evolved our organization, enabling us to support our customers better. These opportunities include SAP® Consultant development, on-site training, virtual classrooms, and employee development.

“As C5MI continues to scale to meet various customer demands, talent development is a top priority,” says C5MI’s Program Director Lynn Ann Boon. “Our senior leaders know that investing in our team members through continuing education and training is vital in making C5MI a more valuable partner for our clients.”

Building a Robust Training Program

To equip our team with necessary skills, the training team analyzed existing skill sets based on client needs. This analysis created a comprehensive training program designed to upskill our team members. In July 2024, twenty-three associates were selected for the pilot program, which focuses on three key areas:

  1. S/4HANA® and RISE®: 8 SAP certifications achieved since July in areas such as ABAP, EWM, and TM.
  2. On-Site Training at the C5MI Live Warehouse® Experience Center (LWEC): This weeklong training covers critical aspects of warehouse operations, supply chain, lean manufacturing, safety, CPR certification, and communication disciplines.
  3. Computer-Based Training for Analysts: Team members can choose from up to seven paths to learn specific skills needed as analysts. Upon completing the virtual classes, they take tests to earn certifications.
Recent Success That Drives Us Forward

Just like in many aspects of life, the results of our efforts are often as important, if not more so, than the work we put in. Our team’s recent achievements highlight their dedication to continuous learning and improvement. Some of these impressive outcomes include:

  • 8 SAP certifications achieved since July in areas such as ABAP, EWM, and TM.
  • 7 SAP general certifications expected by mid-September.
  • 23 associates to complete hands-on training in Q4 2024.
Employee Development Opportunities

Our comprehensive training program empowers our staff to achieve our collective organizational goals. While we emphasize training in SAP and partner technologies like Google Cloud®, ServiceNow®, UiPath®, and Tricentis®, we also provide a variety of other development opportunities. These include Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Human Resources (HR) training, to name a few. Providing what our employees need, no matter how minute, ensures our team has the necessary skills to propel us forward.

Looking Ahead

As we advance, C5MI remains dedicated to cultivating a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Based on valuable feedback, we plan to expand our pilot program to offer more team members these opportunities. By consistently investing in our team’s development, we not only strengthen our expertise and meet client needs but also ensure we are equipped to tackle the challenges of the future and lead the industry with a forward-thinking workforce.
