C5MI & Slamcore Partner to Bring Infrastructure-Free RTLS to Material Handling Fleets

Reston, VA – September 15, 2026: C5MI, a premier leader in digital transformation and supply chain innovation, has announced a strategic partnership with Slamcore, a leader in vision-based spatial intelligence and real-time location systems (RTLS) for forklifts and other manually driven vehicles. The partnership pairs C5MI’s process expertise with Slamcore’s infrastructure-free location data, giving warehouses and factories continuous visibility into every piece of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

C5MI will offer Slamcore Aware, a vision-based RTLS for forklifts and other manually driven vehicles, and Slamcore Hub, the device management platform for Slamcore devices, through a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) agreement. Each Slamcore Aware unit combines a stereo camera, an onboard compute module, and Slamcore’s spatial intelligence software to deliver precise vehicle positioning and spatial awareness without fixed anchors, beacons, or tags.

REST, WebSocket, and VDA5050 interfaces enable Slamcore location data to integrate with C5MI’s Omnipoint platform and SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). The solution supports key milestones in C5MI’s Maturity Model and strengthens the QPE methodology with real-time insights into MHE utilization, travel paths, congestion, and warehouse performance.

The Slamcore agreement builds on C5MI’s established Industry 4.0 systems integration and engineering practice. As an SAP Partner and a KINEXON OS partner, C5MI already integrates UWB and passive RFID RTLS data with SAP EWM, SAP S/4HANA, and shop-floor execution systems to build a single live digital twin. Slamcore’s infrastructure-free, vehicle-mounted localization extends these capabilities to MHE fleets and facilities where fixed anchors or antennas are impractical.

For C5MI’s Aerospace & Defense (A&D) and Department of War (DoW) clients, the combination is particularly powerful. Depots, maintenance hangars, munitions storage, and forward logistics sites often span millions of square feet, operate under strict security and accountability requirements, and rarely allow crews to retrofit new infrastructure.

Crews can deploy Slamcore Aware on existing forklifts and tugs in days, not months, delivering continuous, auditable visibility into asset movement, pedestrian safety, and material flow. Combined with KINEXON OS and SAP, that data supports property accountability and readiness reporting, helping A&D and DoW organizations improve safety and accelerate throughput.
